Bohdan Khmelnytsky, Chairman of Strategic Advocacy Law Firm, visited the Supreme Court of Italy as part of a group of court officials and lawyers from Ukraine

Bohdan Khmelnytsky, Managing Partner of Strategic Advocacy Law Firm, paid a study visit to the Supreme Court of Cassation of Italy (Corte Suprema di Cassazione), the highest court in the country, which ensures the unity of judicial practice and the correct application of the law.

During the visit to Rome, the Ukrainian group was familiarized with the work of the court and met with the leadership of the institution. In particular, they talked to Margherita Cassano, the first president of the Supreme Court, and other representatives of the institution.

The court considers a huge number of cases every year: more than 75,000 criminal and about 35,000 civil cases. It consists of 417 judges. This scale emphasizes the important role of the cassation instance in the Italian legal system.

This visit is a continuation of the international experience of Ukrainian lawyers and judges.
