Bohdan Khmelnytsky as part of a group of lawyers from Ukraine met with the Prosecutor General of Italy

Bohdan Khmelnytsky, Managing Partner of Strategic Advocacy Law Firm, as part of a delegation of lawyers from Ukraine, met with Pietro Gaeta, the Prosecutor General of Italy (Procuratore generale della Cassazione), who spoke about the specifics of the prosecutor’s office.

Unlike the Ukrainian system, the prosecutor’s office in Italy is not a separate body, but operates as part of the judicial system: prosecutors work at every court, including the cassation court, and represent the prosecution as part of the judiciary.
